In order to match your needs with the needs of the cats we have in our care a Home Visit is always carried out prior to adoption. We want to ensure that the cat will be happy with you and your home so we pop round to talk about your circumstances and lifestyle e.g.

Are you aware of the commitment that pet ownership brings?
Healthy and happy
All of our cats have
- been health checked by a qualified vet
- had worm and flea treatment
- been vaccinated
- been neutered - where a kitten has been rehomed before it is old enough for this we will provide a voucher towards the cost. We recommend neutering from 4 - 6 months of age.
- had blood tests where appropriate
- been microchipped
- had other treatment as needed
Re-habilitating and re-homing stray cats is our main priority. We only have a certain number of fostering spaces available and there are always many cats and kittens waiting to come into our care. The cats we care for will not be shown on the website for re-homing until they have been vet checked and properly assessed.
Cats Protection asks adopters for a fee when rehoming a cat. If you feel able to make a donation on top of the fee that would, of course, be gratefully received. We know times are hard so thank you for your decision to rehome a CP cat.
Our cats are fostered in private homes or gardens so visits have to be scheduled to fit in with the Fosterer's schedule. When you find the perfect cat for you, subject to vet checks, you will be able to take your new member of the family home!
